Performs Quality Engineer duties on Instrumentation and Control but may require quality assurance manufacturing support in a variety of programs across all lines of business. This role will be responsible for the typical program quality engineer duties such as material review board chair, corrective action board facilitation, inspection/test support, disposition of nonconforming material, program team meeting support, facilitate/review/approve/follow-up corrective action requests, support both internal and external audits, process improvements and various other duties as assigned.

The entire region is about 100 miles from both New York City and Philadelphia. Archbald is a suburb of Scranton, PA. Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.

Ability to focus on continual improvement practices using causal analysis tools to drive corrective and preventive actions.

Be able to effectively communicate with Customer, Program team and other functional departments.

Willingness/ability to travel to support program issues/needs as they arise.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment.

Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and support engineering activities related to special process surveys and supplier issues.

Strong communication (both oral and written) will be necessary to support the assignment.

Ability to pass visual acuity and color perception exam.

Ability to obtain a secret security clearance so must be a US Citizen.
Desired Skills:
A technical degree is a plus, due to technical requirements related to the daily tasks.

Knowledge and understanding of electrical and mechanical blueprint reading, critical design attributes and auditing/surveying capabilities.

Experience with SAP.

FAI experience.

IPC/J-STD, GD&T familiarity.

Familiarity with AS9100, ISO9001 and NQA-1/10CFR50 Appendix B.

Experience with or certification in lean manufacturing/Lean Six Sigma.

MRB experience.

Strong problem solving skills, corrective action and causal analysis techniques.

Audit, Process Line Verification and/or Hardware Quality Assessment experience.
