Axiom is seeking a Quality Engineer for a Direct Hire position at a Manufacturing company in Strasburg, VA. Job duties for the Quality Engineer position include, but are not limited to the following:

• Ensures that TS-16949 requirements are established, implemented and maintained
• Ensure that all new and revised products meet drawing requirements for material, dimensional, and performance approval
• Prepare all necessary forms and documents for samples submission to the customer and determine the acceptability of the part
• Maintain records of all sample submissions and pertinent information
• Ensure, in conjunction with the engineering department, that all engineering level changes are sampled and approved as necessary
• Assist in the preparation of all control plans, instruction sheet, F.M.E.A., Flow Diagrams and all other pre-production planning documentation in conjunction with the Engineering Department and the customer
• Maintain and control all gages and check fixtures. Calibrate and R&R all gages
• Develop, in conjunction with Engineering Department, Attribute and Variable Gages
• Assist in development of visual display boards on new products and existing products
• Work on team problem solving as part of Six Sigma/Kaizen
• Act in conjunction with Engineering, Production, Materials, and the customer on pre production/quality improvement issues
• Develop and implement statistical methods and processes
• Evaluate the statistical program as it relates to the customer and IAC requirements
• Adheres to applicable quality and environmental system requirements, work instructions, and procedures
• Perform all other duties as required
• Coordinates training of personnel in TS-16949 systems utilization

Requirements for consideration for the Quality Engineer position include the following:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Bachelors Degree in Technical/Engineering or combination of advanced education, and relevant work experience in the Quality Assurance field
• Knowledge and experience in blueprint reading and specification interpretation, dimensional inspection and instruments
• Knowledge of Control Plans, F.M.E.A.'s, and Flow Charts
• Experience working in a Quality Engineer position preferred
