Duties and Responsibilities:

  • This position will actively participate in a cross-functional Teams that will identify the parts and suppliers most critical to our success.
  • Perform assessments and audits, and work to implement Problem Solving tools and process certification relative to our purchased & internally produced parts.
  • Collaboration with the Material Review Board and Quality Clinic to drive corrective and preventive actions relative to purchased parts. This may include developing and utilizing additional reports as appropriate to monitor detailed supplier quality performance and ensuring appropriate corrective and preventative actions are taken through drill-deep/drill-wide analysis.
  • Improvement in effectiveness of the problem resolution process, specifically:Response time

Time-to-containment
Time-to-resolution

  • Benchmarking business processes against best in class and drive implementation of best practices throughout organization.
  • The candidate`s Statistical Process Control knowledge should include experience with variable and attribute control charts.

Skills / Experience:

  • Demonstrated strategic thinking in their initiatives and has been a champion of innovative ideas.
  • The candidate’s Statistical Process Control knowledge should include experience with variable and attribute control charts.
  • Requires an individual with knowledge of and experience in Electronics Assembly (i.e.; through-hole and Surface Mount, ESD Controls) and Plastics (i.e.; Extrusion) and Assembly Testing.
  • Knowledge and experience in the following manufacturing processes is a plus.

- Casting (i.e. sand castings, gray iron, precision)
- Machining (i.e. lathes, mills, CNC machining centers, de-burring)
- Welding
- Sheet metal (i.e. punching, forming, laser cutting)
- Finishing (i.e. painting, powder coating, plating, anodizing)

  • Proficiency with Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point and knowledge of Access and Internet web tools
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor`s degree is required, preferably in Electrical or Electrical Engineering Technology
  • Requires an individual with 2 -7 years of overall engineering/quality experience in an assembly manufacturing environment within the automotive, aerospace or related industrial industries.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
