Lockheed Martin is seeking a Quality Engineer for a position in Troy, AL to support the ARRW Program as quality engineering support in a manufacturing environment. This role may specialize in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and / or research and development as they apply to product or process quality.

Responsibilities include:

Ensures quality is built into the product by developing, modifying, applying, and maintaining work instructions, evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished product.

Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.

Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.

Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms, and equipment.

Conducts quality assurance tests.

Performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.

Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.

Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards, and that documentation is compliant with requirements.

The Locale: Troy, Alabama is located in the East Gulf Coastal Plains region of southeastern Alabama. Troy's climate is typical of areas along the Gulf of Mexico in that it has hot, humid summers and mild winters.

Where can you get to from Troy? Our facility in Troy is just under an hour south of Montgomery, Alabama. Troy is about 2.5 hours north of the Gulf of Mexico and Fort Walton Beach and Florida's Pan Handle. Troy is about three hours from Atlanta, GA.
Basic Qualifications:
Degree in an Engineering discipline from an accredited college at the Bachelor level or above.

The position requires two years of professional experience with a Bachelors degree or no experience required with a related Masters degree.

Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance. Lockheed Martin will assist candidate with obtaining at least an Interim Secret Clearance prior to starting.

**Candidate must be able to pass a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (“ATF”) background check to obtain approval to be an “employee possessor” (of explosives or other ATF-regulated items) as defined by ATF regulations. Failure to obtain and retain employee possessor status may result in revocation of an offer and loss of employment.
Desired Skills:
Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or other Engineering degree in related, technical field.

Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

Internship in a Quality discipline or in the DoD industry.

Ability to work with a team in a fast-paced environment.

Experience with RCCA application.

Direct experience on the ARRW program.

Experience creating and inspecting to First Article Inspection requirements.

These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
