Responsibilities
Provides Diagnostic Radiology scheduling and clerical support services in a professionally and pleasant manner.
- Ensures timely distribution of reports.
- Maintains the department film records in accordance with all regulations.
- Answers and directs telephone calls in a pleasant and professional manner.
- Reviews and processes physician orders into the hospital order entry system accurately.
- Routinely schedules outpatient procedures into the computer- scheduling module.
- Ensures the clinical history is appropriate to the procedure being ordered.
- May be required to assist Radiology Transporter.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent educational experience
- Previous clerical or office experience
- Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Must be obtained within 90 days from date of hire transfer into department or from date of summary revision
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a medical office or hospital environment
- Experience with computers preferably in Meditech
Pay Range
$16.9188 - $22.77 /hour
