Hitachi Rail Honolulu JV (HRH) is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Rolling Stock Corrective Maintenance to work on our Honolulu Rail Project. As the successful candidate your ideas for continuous improvement and creativity are welcome. The position is based in Pearl City, HI.

Additional Job Description

· Performs routine, preventive and unscheduled maintenance, inspection, adjustments, testing, cleaning, lubrication and proper maintenance on assigned Passenger Vehicle (PV) electro-mechanical equipment in accordance with wiring diagrams, schematics, operations manuals and manufacturers maintenance instructions.

· Observes PV electromechanical components in operation to detect potential failures and locates causes of malfunction. Responds to malfunctions completing repairs as assigned. Uses specialized tools as required.

· Conducts special studies and investigations and acts as a trouble shooter or special projects officer as directed

· Analyzes log files to troubleshoot complex to provide required corrective action and improvement

· Perform troubleshooting, identification and resolution of system and subsystem to support field technicians in the diagnosis and correction of faults.

· Completes assigned operational, equipment failure, safety and other reports as required.

· Participates in training programs as required.

· Complies with Safety Rules, Operating Rule Book and first-aid procedures.

· Role requires flexibility and efficiently which require shift rotation, weekends and holidays work typical of major infrastructure projects and operating transit systems.

· Performs related duties as required

· Drive the Train when required

· Good analytical and problem-solving skills

· A team player with a strong analytical mind and ability to work independently and in team environment with minimal supervision.

· Have experience in electro-mechanical equipment maintenance

· Ability to use common and specialized tools and test equipment.

· Knowledge of, or the ability to attain knowledge of the safety rules regarding lock-out protection while working on large system equipment.

· Experience in the use and interpretation schematics, wiring diagrams, operations manuals, manufacturers' maintenance instructions, Operating Rulebooks and demonstrated comprehension of similar operations and maintenance programs.

Required Education/Skills:

Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical engineering or related field

Desired Skills/ Knowledge:

2 years electrical or mechanical engineering experience
