**This is an on-call position, primarily during the weekends and occasional weekdays, in the Antioch/Bay Point, California area**

Delta Tactical Training Group is a veteran owned, civilian security and law enforcement firearms and defensive tactics training company located in the Northern California Bay Area. Established in 2011, Delta Tactical has remained committed to providing unrivaled personal safety training for men and women on how to safely protect themselves against dangerous threatening situations.

Delta Tactical is looking for qualified candidates for a Range Safety Officer. A professional who is knowledgeable with the safe handling of firearms and a good communicator. The Range Safety Officer is responsible for the safety of all students and staff while out on the range. The Range Safety Officer must have extensive knowledge and experience about the operation and safe handling of a variety of firearms and will be called upon to offer assistance to shooters while training on the range.

The primary duty of the Range Safety Officer is to assist the instructor with overseeing the safety of the (student) shooters during firearms training classes and to assist shooters with safely handling their firearms during shooting activities on the range. Weekly hours will vary depending on classes scheduled.

Required Qualifications

• Complete NRA certified Range Safety course
• Must be 21 years or older
• No felony convictions and be able to pass a background investigation
• No drug use and be able to pass a drug test
• Valid Class C California driver’s license and clean DMV record

Education/Training/Knowledge

• Range safety
• Firearms
• Local, State & Federal gun laws
• High school diploma or GED

Experience:

• 1-2 years RSO experience preferred
• Prior military or law enforcement preferred
• Firearms training instructor experience preferred
