Receptionist/Medical Assistant Job at Friendship House
QUALIFICATIONS
Medical Assistance Certification or Certified Nursing Assistant credential preferred.
JOB PURPOSE:
1. Answering incoming calls, assisting callers and directing them to the appropriate person, as necessary
2. Scheduling/rescheduling appointments for individuals in our Outpatient Clinics
3. Checking in all individuals for Outpatient appointments
4. Readying clients for psychiatric appointments including taking height/weight, as needed
5. Providing collaboration and consultation on behalf of the medical staff through phone calls and messaging
6. Maintaining/ordering office supplies and scheduling office services
7. Working with a team to verify insurance coverages, secure alternate payment sources, collect financial information from clients/families
8. Recording payment information and preparing reports for payers on a regular schedule
9. Securing Prior Authorization for medications and managing medication related inquiries from clients and families
10.Other clerical support duties as assigned
Experience working in the Mental Health System and/or office experience a plus
