POSITION SUMMARY
The Human Resources Assistant/Recruiter will be responsible for supporting the Administrative offices in recruiting including, screening, interviewing, referencing and advertising and publicizing all positions throughout the Company. This position will also be responsible analyzing, collecting and implementing data processes for necessary projects and tasks. This position will perform routine clerical and administrative functions in order to streamline office functions, increase efficiency and improve communication.

Essential Functions:
Screen, reference and track application history on all job applicants and receive and process job applications
Interview job applicants to obtain and verify information used to screen and evaluate them and inform them of their acceptance or rejection of employment
Act as liaison with area employment agencies, advertising agencies, temporary agencies and local area communities for filling open positions
Create contacts within the industry and attend career fairs for recruiting and company recognition and develop working relationships within colleges and university to aid in recruiting
Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting
Arrange for advertising or posting of job vacancies
Complete and maintain weekly report on employment activity in recruiting system and Excel spreadsheet
Maintain job descriptions and update accordingly
Communicate with department managers on a consistent basis for identifying current hiring needs and forecasted needs
Provide general human resources support, as needed including but not limited to file maintenance and records retention
Assist in preparing and sending offer packages and new employee orientation packages and facilitate and oversee on-boarding process (conducting orientation, system training, etc.)
Analyze statistical data and reports to identify and determine causes of personnel problems and develop recommendations for improvement of organizations personnel policies and practices
Assist with reconciliation projects and auditing
Assist with administering and interpreting all employee benefit programs.
Assist with management and resolution of employee relations issues. Assist employees in understanding company policies and provide appropriate training and development programs.
Perform other duties as required including assisting other departments as needed

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Related degree or 1-3 years work experience.
Type 45-50 wpm.
Must have good people skills
Must be detail oriented
Excellent communication skills - ability to handle all communication between customers, employees and vendors.
Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Must be self-motivated ethical, adaptable and have the ability to work independently to meet deadlines.
Must have active TABC and Food Handler certifications at all times.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk and sit. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, and crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
