Presbyterian Homes of Georgia is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced HR professional with experience in all aspects of Human Resources to serve as a Regional Director, Human Resources.

This position will report directly to the Vice President, Human Resources and will work with and support the Human Resource departments at each campus to assist with recruiting, onboarding, as well as, to help ensure that all aspects of our human resource practices and processes align with the overall Corporate business strategy.

The Regional Director, Human Resources position is important to our business success. People are our most important asset and with our HR team members, you’ll help ensure we have a positive, happy and productive workplace where everyone works to realize our established mission and objectives. Promoting the corporate values of Presbyterian Homes of Georgia and shaping a positive culture is a vital aspect of this position.

Your duties and responsibilities will involve working with each HR department on activities such as recruitment, new employee onboarding, employee relations, training & development, labor & employment law, leader guidance, mentorship, Corporate Compliance and talent management.

The successful candidate will be someone that is looking beyond an office job.

Due to the nature of this position and the fact that our facilities are located throughout Georgia, you must have the ability to travel (25% -50%).

This is very much a hands-on, people centered and focused position.

Responsibilities (overview)

Works with the Human Resource Director and team at each campus to:

  • Help promote a culture of quality and caring by upholding and instilling the Mission, as well as the Beliefs & Values of Presbyterian Homes of Georgia throughout each campus
  • Assist with the recruitment, interviewing and selection process - to ensure the hiring of high quality staff
  • Assist with the orientation and on-boarding process
  • Help ensure a strong and positive work environment
  • Engage with employees at all levels/positions
  • Help support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital
  • Assist with monitoring HR programs, systems, tactics and procedures throughout each campus
  • Assist in looking for opportunities for improvement
  • Nurture a positive working environment
  • Assist with implementing and carrying out employee recognition programs to help foster a great work environment
  • Assist with ensuring budgetary compliance
  • Help to assess, monitor and carry out training programs
  • Assist in working with facility clinical affiliates such as Universities, colleges and other organizations
  • Help to ensure legal compliance through human resource management oversight

Skills

  • Strong HR Generalist background
  • Proven working experience as an HR professional with a minimum of five (5) years at the Exempt-Level
  • People oriented and results driven
  • Ability to engender a commitment & focus on Quality Service
  • Proven experience in the areas of employee recruitment, staff/labor budgeting, workers' compensation, as well as all aspects of the key HR functions
  • Knowledge of Human Resources from the healthcare perspective (preferred)
  • Experience with human resource best practices
  • Ability to foster leadership
  • Ability to design, develop and present training classes
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
  • In-depth knowledge of employment & labor laws
  • Proven track record of attention to detail in order to deliver strong service to internal and external customers
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to organize work, engage in a variety of tasks simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in high pressure situations
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills

  • Experience with HRIS/HRMS systems
  • Experience with Payroll & time systems, such as UKG, UltiPro, PeopleSoft, ADP or similar
  • Solid experience using PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Access and other Microsoft programs
  • Knowledge of Georgia Long-Term Care (LTC) Regulations is a plus
  • Knowledge of Georgia Personal Care Regulations is a plus
  • Must have either SHRM-CP and/or PHR (HRCI) certifications

A minimum of five (5) years of human resources experience at the exempt level and an undergraduate degree in Human Resources management, business administration, healthcare administration, management, or related field is required.

Must have the ability to travel at least 25% - 50%.

Healthcare HR experience is strongly preferred.

SHRM-CP and/or PHR certification.
