Role Overview:
The Position
NorthStar Anesthesia is seeking a Regional Director of CRNA Services in Chicago, Illinois. This is a full-time, W2 employee opportunity with high visibility and leadership growth. This leadership opportunity offers a unique scope of responsibilities including leading a large team of CRNAs, involvement in facility initiatives, working clinically, and being a thought leader for all NorthStar hospital systems in the Chicago area. An ideal candidate has well-rounded exposure in their anesthesia career and a proven track record as an engaging and supportive clinical leader. This position will have cross functional collaboration with key facility and corporate partners ensuring optimal success for the region.

This position includes year one compensation of $240,000, comprised of a base salary of $220,000, $20,000 Regional Director Stipend, plus comprehensive benefits and 6 weeks of paid time off.

What You Will Do In This Role
The Regional Director of CRNA Services will work under the VP of CRNA Services and in conjunction with the Regional Medical Director, Chief CRNAs, and all healthcare providers involved in the care of patients requiring anesthesia services.
  • Directly works with the VP of CRNA Services to review facility MORs, OR utilization, staffing updates and facility action plans.
  • Balances clinical work and administrative time with a typical mix of 80% clinical, 20% administrative time weekly.
  • Supports Chief CRNAs with training, development, and management.
  • Supports NorthStar’s growth and expansion of new contracts or renewals within existing footprint.
  • Collaborates with recruiting department to attract and retain talented clinicians.
  • Participates in program events, state conferences and national meetings to market and recruit.
  • Establishes regular meetings in conjunction with local leadership to achieve goals surrounding facility management.
  • Achieves budgetary targets in partnership with clinical and operational goals by reviewing contracted model, scheduling, and utilization.
What Qualifications You Will Need
  • Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs or its predecessor.
  • Hold current status as an Advanced Practice Nurse Anesthetist by the State Board of Nursing for the State of employment.
  • Insurable by an appropriate medical malpractice insurer for the limits required by the group, institution, or state.
  • CRNA may also be required to hold additional licensures, certifications and/or education as required by facility and/or state for which they are assigned.
  • Professionalism, compassion, excellent communication and time management skills, and the willingness to work as one team with all partners, patients, and staff members.
  • Ability to assess and prioritize multiple tasks, projects and demands.
