Reports To: Chief Medical Officer (CMO)

Little Spurs Pediatric Urgent Care is looking to add a Regional Medical Director to our growing Dallas team. The Regional Medical Director will be responsible for establishing, maintaining, and enforcing acceptable professional and ethical standards of the Company’s medical staff at the assigned area according to its policies, procedures, philosophy, and objectives. This position will assists the CMO in assuring that the Company meets all related local, state, federal, and accrediting-body rules and regulations. The Regional Medical Director will serve as liaison between the medical staff and administration. This individual would split time between RMD duties outlined below (approx. 75% of their time) and patient care/shift work (approx. 25% of their time)

What You Need (Qualifications):

  • Board certified Pediatrician (MD or DO)
  • Must have Urgent Care experience
  • Must pass criminal background check
  • American Heart Association BLS certification required prior to start date
  • PALS certification required
  • Enjoys working with children!
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role

The Nitty Gritty (Day To Day):

  • Assists the CMO in coordinating and directing patient care in the region according to adopted policies/procedures, state and federal regulations, and accepted accreditation standards.
  • Ensures the establishment, maintenance, continuing improvement, and enforcement of acceptable professional and ethical standards and performance of the medical staff
  • Handles provider related patient complaints and reports to administration regarding the quality and efficiency of medical care provided
  • Oversees medical issues of day-to-day operations, including consults from providers
  • Supports administrative decisions and activities affecting patient care
  • Interprets and provides guidance on Company medical policies to enhance patient care
  • In cooperation with the CMO, reviews activities for adherence to Company policies and procedures, state and federal rules and regulations, and accrediting-body standards
  • Oversees new clinic set up
  • Is responsible for recruiting providers for the assigned region
  • Responisble for the training and onboarding of new providers
  • Makes the schedule at least one month ahead and handles shift changes and call-ins
  • Approves timecards for assigned region
  • Work with team members to provide excellent healthcare to our patients!
  • Reviews performance of medical staff members for reappointment recommendation.
  • Conducts provider evaluations every other year per UCA standards
  • Participates in Company committees, meetings, in services, and activities

When We Operate (Schedule):

  • Weekdays: 12 hours shifts
  • Rotating Weekends: 8 hour shifts
  • Clinic Hours are as follows:
  • Mon – Fri: 9:00 am – 8:30 pm
  • Sat-Sun: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • Travel to other clinics as needed
