We are looking for an experienced Regional Sales Manager. Successful candidate will be accountable for the achievement of regional volume objectives forecast accuracy, promotional execution, distribution targets, new item speed to shelf, retail price management, and retail execution. The RSM position is responsible for delivering creative, fact-based solutions and thought leadership that will help build House Autry Brand at assigned customers. Responsible for proactively managing, monitoring, evaluating, and holding the accountability for the overall business plan to meet all volume, profit and share objective. Primary focus is to (a) Achievement of sales objectives and specific volume goals through regional broker team management, execution of account plans and brand strategies that will meet key performance indicators (KPIs), (b) manage relationship with customers, brokers, and internal resources (c) manage trade plans and profitability of SKU mix.
This position is remote working from a home office and can be based anywhere in the Charlotte, NC metro area with flexibility throughout the state of North Carolina. Must be able to travel domestically up to 55%

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop the annual strategic plan for the customer(s) and present internally to gain alignment on key opportunities for growth in an assigned territory.
  • Achievement of sales objectives and specific volume goals through regional broker team management, execution of account plans and brand strategies.
  • Focus on achievement of optimal DSMP’s (Distribution, Shelving, Merchandising, and Pricing) by account.
  • Develop and implement trade promotion strategies and tactical plans with customers.
  • Develop and deliver customer plans to achieve objectives within budget.
  • Deliver short- & long-term solutions through best practice thought leadership.
  • Present annual marketing plans to retail grocery customers (distributors, direct and indirect grocery retailers) and execute plan across a diverse customer base.
  • Lead the broker sales team within the assigned territory/accounts.
  • Work closely cross functionally to produce timely business updates for senior leadership.

Demonstrated proficiency in the following areas:

  • Ability to present information, internally and externally, in a concise manner to drive to decision making.

  • Understanding of forecasting models and tools.

  • Retail grocery experience is required
  • BS/BA degree in business or related technical discipline
  • 7-10 years of CPG selling experience desired, with a minimum of 5 years of significant interactions with relevant accounts
  • Food Lion, Publix, Walmart, Kroger, Ahold, Jewell, Safeway Mid-Atlantic, Giant Eagle, Weis, Hannaford, Wegman’s, and KeHE experience a plus
