PEGI GI Solutions carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum base salary for the position is $225,000 and the maximum salary for the position is $250,000. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.

We are searching for a dynamic Regional Vice President of Operations in New York to join our team!

To be Considered, Qualified Candidates Must:

  • Live within city limits or proximity to the New York Metro area.
  • Have for profit multi-location ASC leadership experience in a Management Services Organization (MSO), large practice, or hospital joint venture partnership setting.
  • Not be bound by any non-compete agreement prohibiting you from completing the duties and responsibilities required of the role in this industry or geography.

What you do:

The Regional VP of Operations will be integral to PEGI’s continued success and will report directly to the Market President/Group President. The primary responsibilities of this NY based role will be the oversight of existing centers throughout the New York City metro area. Working with center administrators and center operating boards, this person will provide hands-on management and support for day-to-day center activities that promote growth and desired financial performance results. In this leadership role, the key areas of focus will be on strategic planning, partner relations, staff development, clinical support, and accountability for assisting with budget preparation and ongoing financial performance results.

What you will need to succeed:

To be successful in this role you will have the following experience or knowledge:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in a healthcare service operations role with a strong emphasis in strategic planning and financial performance management.
  • Be local to the New York market and willing to travel within it.
  • Be physically present in the portfolio ASCs frequently.
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions.
  • Experience worked in a matrix reporting structure.
  • 5+ years of working with healthcare providers in a leadership capacity.
  • Prior experience with single-specialty or multi-specialty ASCs is required.
  • Advanced degrees, MBA, MHA, or others are a plus.
  • Proven record of successful ASC Administration and / or Management experience.

What you will be working on:

  • Working within PEGI’s team-oriented culture, the Regional VP of Operations will function as the primary liaison between PEGI and the ASC’s.
  • Primary operations and clinical support contact for inquiries from the center staff and physician partners.
  • Interaction and influence cross-functionally within PEGI departments - Operations, Human Resources, Marketing, Finance and Development.
  • Provide leadership, vision, and strategic direction in developing and implementing programs to meet center performance objectives.
  • Monitor and provide analysis for center financial performance.
  • Work collaboratively with the centers to develop initiatives that promote center growth, cost containment, and operational improvements.
  • Provides a lead role in the coordination of center planning activities.
  • Review and support negotiations for quotes for equipment, supplies and ancillary service agreements for centers.
  • Provide on-site support and project oversight as required.
  • Possess exceptional interpersonal skills to coach, train, and mentor staff in the “art” of personal service and effective management of the relationships between the center, the physicians, their respective professional practices, and PEGI to foster teamwork and cooperation.
  • Keep current on regional and national industry related events that may impact the center.
  • Maintain a general understanding of Accrediting Agency Standards such as AAAHC, JCAHO, and AAAFS, OSHA, State and Medicare regulations.
  • Attend meetings as required in Jamison, PA., 18929
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

What will make you awesome:

  • Willingness to travel throughout NY up to 50% of the time (some overnight may be required). Additionally, periodic travel to Jamison, PA for various meetings and training.
  • Proven exceptional business acumen in operations and management of healthcare facilities.
  • Ability to develop and execute action plans for underperforming centers.
  • Demonstrated ability to build teams, manage people, and manage client relationships.
  • Prior hands-on experience in developing budgets and managing financial results to budget.
  • Experience building and maintaining relationships with physicians, clinical and support staff in addition to hospital senior management.
  • Possess a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word spreadsheet software, the ability to handle multiple tasks and strong analytical skills to be applied toward assessing complex data and information are essential. Knowledge of Microsoft Project is a plus.
  • High-energy and enthusiasm towards further developing a successful Development & Management Industry leader. The Regional VP of Operations will set an example for others through his/her positive attitude, professional appearance, and personal, caring atmosphere in dealing with all internal and external contacts.
