While working at the BASF plant in Attapulgus,GA. as a Relief Operator you will serve to provide relief for various job assignments within a four-job classification.

You will…

• Perform up to one or more job assignments within the following job classifications: MBC Outside Rover – REM, RER, MBC Denning, MBC Bex, Chemical Handler, Concentrator Operator, Special Assignment.
• Backfill the position on the team for which he/she is trained. This approach requires that every position within the classification be performed by at least two of the regular shift team members and that only one of those be on vacation at any given time.
• Report and receive work instructions from the Production Coordinator while working on a shift.
• Report and receive work instructions from Area Superintendent when not following a shift.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

If you…

• Can safely operate, maintain, perform minor repairs and make proper adjustments on associated equipment in work areas as well as maintain a good working relationship with other operators, mechanics and management personnel using the EQ principles. Job Duties/Description Internal
• Own ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and to use a process computer controller.
• Possess the ability to understand and respond to environmental and personnel hazards promptly as well as to read, write and perform accurate arithmetic calculations using addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Could enter emergency work orders and achieve a qualifying score on Work Keys Assessment.
• Are physically able to lift fifty (50) pounds as well as to climb and work in high or elevated area (i.e., climbing and descending stairs repetitively during a shift).
• Are able to walk / work on uneven surfaces and able to properly wear all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Are able participate on emergency response teams, which include requirements to be clean shaven as well as work with PSM processes, which requires medical clearances and fit tests

This is a union position and the starting pay rate is $25.48 H. Shift are rotating continuous being Off Shift . We provide a competitive benefits package that includes medical/dental/vision insurance for the employee and their dependents and a 401K plan with company matching.
