REMOTE - BDM of Non-Destructive Testing Job at Acara Solutions

Acara Solutions is looking for a Business Development Manager of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) for its growing client and trusted name in the industry. This a remote position that averages about 50% travel. Salary is 90-120K base plus commission. The ideal location is in the Midwest or East Coast.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establishes new business by planning and organizing daily activities to call on existing or potential prospects
- Make personal sales calls at customer sites on a regular basis
- Seek out business opportunities with new and existing accounts
- Establish and maintain customer relationships in order to grow sales revenue
- Attends industry association meetings, seminars, and workshops to network with customers
- Responsible to be a lead with NDT industry knowledge and provide reports to Senior Management about trends within the testing community
- Lead the presentation of large opportunities
- Attends industry trade shows three to six times a year to accumulate new leads and make productive contact with existing customers
- Coordinates with the Director of Sales regarding travel and booth display materials
- Responsible for tradeshow opportunity strategy, planning, and execution
- Customer visit and call reports
- Attends regular quarterly sales meetings and participates in business planning process
- Reports to teams regarding new markets, marketing improvements, service expansion opportunities, product development opportunities
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Experience with Non-Destructive Testing techniques
- Experience in ASNT, ASTM, ASME, AWS, and Military / Defense Specifications
- Five to seven years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Computer skills required: (Enterprise Resource Planning Systems, Customer Relationship Management Systems, Microsoft Office Suite)
- Willing to travel up to 50 percent of the time
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
