Fairchild Equipment, Inc. is seeking a stable, hard-working, and motivated Rental Equipment Coordinator for our Menomonee Falls, WI Branch. As a member of our rental department, the Rental Equipment Coordinator is responsible for assisting and providing exceptional customer service in all aspects of the company’s rental operations ensuring the needs of all rental departments are being fulfilled, while the goal of serving the customer remains the priority. This position requires you to work with our customers on a day-to-day basis to achieve profitability, growth, and account penetration within our company. This is a full-time position out of our Menomonee Falls Branch.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the overall Rental Department performance, including supervising and managing all cartage and truck drivers.
  • Remain knowledgeable and up to date on changes and developments of all equipment being rented.
  • Locate equipment required to fill customer orders.
  • Use your independent judgment with respect to matters of the financial performance of the Rental Department.
  • Process orders for rental of equipment units.
  • Prepare, administer and review rental contracts.
  • Work with company’s cartage to schedule deliveries.
  • Responsible for approving and accurately processing invoices.
  • Review and authorize service requests, Purchase Orders (PO) and machine movement requests.
  • Approve and distribute vendor invoices for payment.
  • Order equipment, batteries and chargers as required for the rental fleet.
  • Work with the Rental Manager to manage and monitor rental equipment inventory.
  • Assist in walk-in sales.
  • Assist customers with rental issues.
  • Ability to organize, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
  • Qualified candidates will have the ability to communicate effectively with customers and Fairchild Equipment personnel.
  • Willingness to accept new roles and responsibilities when asked by the Rental Manager.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are crucial for negotiating contracts, interviewing new vendors, developing new inventory processes and working with co-workers on stock inventory.
  • Ability to manage and multi-task multiple projects at one time and in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Adapt and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure, shift priorities in a changing environment, and self-direct with good business judgments.
  • Ability to work overtime and have flexibility to accommodate the needs of the position.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • 2+ years of experience working in sales; material handling/ industrial sales experience is a plus.

    • Fingering-perceiving attributes of objects by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips.
  • The visual acuity requirements:
    • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
    • The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
  • The conditions the worker will be submitted to in this position:
    • The worker is subject to inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
