Employment Type

We fully train techs in the testing, diagnosing and repair of medical equipment such as oxygen
concentrators, liquid oxygen systems, ventilators and sleep therapy devices.

Tasks

  • Inspect and test malfunctioning medical or related equipment, following manufacturers'
specifications and using test and analysis instruments.
  • Test or calibrate components or equipment, following manufacturers' manuals and
troubleshooting techniques, using hand tools, power tools, or measuring devices.
  • Keep records of maintenance, repair, and required updates of equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance or service, such as cleaning, lubricating, or adjusting
equipment.
  • Disassemble malfunctioning equipment and remove, repair, or replace defective part.
  • Study technical manuals or attend training sessions provided by equipment
manufacturers to maintain current knowledge.
  • Other duties include general labor tasks such as cleaning equipment, warehouse

organization, etc.

Repairing and Maintaining Medical Equipment

  • Calibrate or adjust electronic equipment or instruments to specification
  • Replace electronic components
  • Repair and replacement of valves
  • Service and maintenance of small compressors
  • Servicing of liquid oxygen systems
  • Install electronic equipment, components, or systems
  • Repair or replace electrical wiring and PC boards
  • Test electronic or electrical circuit connections

Documenting/Recording Information

  • Maintain equipment service records in Windows-based system

Physical Demands

  • Occasional sitting, generally on feet in a work bench environment for 6 – 8 hours per
day
  • Daily lifting of equipment up to 75 pounds for brief periods of time

Education and Experience

  • 2+ years of general work experience
  • High School/GED required

Note: All employees must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
