Job Summary

As MOVE Texas prepares to take on the 2024 election season along with continuing our various campaigns during the ongoing Texas Legislative Session, we are seeking support to supercharge our efforts to build the political power of young people. A key component requires building our efforts to drive online fundraising and grassroots actions through an expansive email and digital strategy.

For nearly 10 years, MOVE Texas has engaged hundreds of thousands of young people in voter registration, leadership development, advocacy campaigns, fellowships, and more. All of these individuals, and others who signed up for updates, are a critical part of our base, and we hope to engage them in 2023 to build a network of active online members who receive our calls-to-action and opportunities to get involved.

Historically, MOVE Texas has underutilized our individual giving program. Although we have been able to retain multiple recurring contributors, we are now looking to significantly expand our efforts in this area. We are looking to partner with an organization that will primarily work with our Development Department to create strategic, effective digital fundraising content on behalf of MOVE Texas.

Ideally, we are looking for an organization that:

  • Aligns with our organizational values of non partisanship and believes in the need to center young people in social movements pertaining to voting rights, climate justice, and community-centered public safety.

  • Prioritize the spread of MOVE’s mission and vision. We are an organization led by young people for young people. We hope to capture the voice that conveys our language and messaging.

  • Build strategic relationships with donors and avoid a transactional approach. Our email list is an extension of our membership, we want to amplify and develop youth-based calls-to-action and peer-to-peer fundraising.

  • Align the content calendar with key moments in our programs and campaigns to take advantage of organizing inflection points.

  • Aid in the construction of MOVE’s website: fundraising accessibility, mobile giving, boost our donation page.

  • Experience using EveryAction or another similar CRM system.

  • Understanding and experience with both 501(c)3 and 501(c)4 organizations.

  • Acquisition strategies and optimal ROI for digital spending

  • A brief description of your cultural competency to address the voices of young people of color.
