Kephera seeks well-qualified candidates for a Research Associate position to join our R&D team working to develop and launch infectious disease immunoassays in our CLIA laboratory and as part of our product line. The successful candidate will contribute significantly to the research program and be involved in multiple aspects of the projects from basic research to clinical studies.

Responsibilities will include development and validation of immunoassays for a variety of infectious diseases in point-of-care and laboratory-based formats, documentation for product transfer, and participation in clinical studies for regulatory submission.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Performance of laboratory experiments utilizing a variety of biochemical and molecular methods and protocols.
  • Cell culture for production of native and recombinant proteins.
  • Documentation of experimental data and results
  • Involvement in routine laboratory maintenance activities.
  • Participation in the design of appropriate experiments.
  • Data analysis and interpretation, presentation of results at internal R&D meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in life science or undergraduate degree with 2-3 years of experience working in a biological/biochemical laboratory.
  • Work experience with various laboratory techniques such as ELISA and Western Blot, chromatography, protein characterization, enzyme assays, DNA/RNA isolation, gel electrophoresis, PCR and real-time qPCR.
  • Strong laboratory and organizational skills.
  • Capability for independent problem-solving as well as teamwork.
  • Familiarity with typical MS Office software.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in writing and in presentations.
  • Ability to adhere to documented protocols for all aspects of laboratory work, ensuring that all relevant information is collected.
  • Attention to details and ability to analyze data are crucial.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $62,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
