Job Description Summary:
Work with PI and Project Managers to implement randomized weight control trials in rural settings. Assist PI and Project Managers with all aspects of study set-up and implementation. Play a role in intervention delivery. Assist with data collection and quality assurance. Contribute to grant and manuscript writing and development of study protocols.
Job Description:
Required Qualifications:
Master's degree or equivalent experience in nutrition, exercise, psychology or other health-related field.
Knowledge of weight loss evidence-based guidelines.
Excellent organizational, written communication, and oral communication skills.
In-state travel required
Preferred Qualifications:
Nutrition and dietetics experience; counseling skills and knowledge of health behavior change principles.
Experience intervening with adults and children.
Job Duties Outlined:
Work with Project Managers on design and development of protocols, instruments, and intervention materials.
Serve as study interventionist; conduct group and individual coaching sessions via Zoom, and clinic team-based telemedicine visits with participants and local PCPs.
Assist with patient recruitment, screening, consenting and enrollment.
Maintain a tracking system for program participants and treatment delivery timelines.
Maintain necessary records of participants and ensure recordkeeping is done in a timely fashion and in accordance with applicable regulations.
Help ensure the ethical conduct of research.
Perform literature searches for PI. Collaborate in the development, writing and proofing of grants, contracts and other funding requests.
Perform other duties as assigned.
