Highlight:



You will focus on identifying and developing options and opportunities that would enable the scaling of finance for Nature Based Solutions (NBS). Your research will be conducted at the intersection of nature, climate, and people. This research is likely to contain quantitative and qualitative elements as well as surveys and/or interviews

You will be supported by a ‘One WRI’ team of experts across centers, programs, and offices.

You will report to WRI’s Nature Based Solutions and Climate Private Sector Lead.


What you will do:


Research/Writing/Producing Publications (80%)

  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative research (including but not limited to, desktop work, surveys, and interviews)
  • Productively collaborate with internal colleagues, external partners, and consultants
  • Draft, coordinate, and produce WRI knowledge products (e.g. briefs, papers, reports) and coordinate publication process
  • Prepare and present oral and written reports of research findings to relevant internal and external stakeholders


Project Management & Stakeholder Engagement (20%)

  • Ensure the research and engagement processes (including feedback and reviews) are well run and on schedule
  • Organize and coordinate internal/external meetings, workshops, and other activities
  • Develop and maintain trust-based relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist in project management and support other activities as needed



What you will need:


  • Education
    : You have a completed Bachelor’s degree in relevant field. Master's degree or a PhD or a JD preferred.
  • Experience: You have 7+years of relevant research and writing expertise.
  • You have experience conducting research in a past role that required orientation to detail and organization.
  • You have experience managing multiple priorities and delivering under tight deadlines.
  • You have experience conducting high-level research and presentation skills using various tools such as Powerpoint, etc.
  • You have experience structuring analyses to solve critical questions and conveying complex issues and insights to various stakeholders.
  • You have experience with high-level research and writing skills, such as through publications (e.g. papers, reports, etc.)
  • Languages: You have written and verbal proficiency in written and spoken English. Additional language skills in Spanish, French, Portuguese, and/or Indonesian a plus.
  • Requirements: Existing work authorization is required where this position is based. WRI is unable to authorize visa work authorization. Final candidates might be required to take a writing test and to produce two writing samples when needed.


Potential Salary:
The salary range for this position is 96,000 USD - 129,000 USD if filled by a candidate located and legally able to work in the US. Salary is commensurate with experience and other compensable factors.
