Resident Support Job at Good Shepherd, Inc.
Good Shepherd, Inc., a senior living community in Mason City, IA is looking for a Resident Support person to help in the nursing home. This individual would have duties such as making beds, straightening rooms, emptying garbage cans, and cleaning equipment. In addition, they would assist in dining rooms by passing liquids, food, clothing protectors and picking up trays. It would include anything the resident needs help with that doesn't require personal cares/ambulation or transfers. This position would be perfect for any age. It's ideal for someone looking to make extra money or who would like to do this support role full time and consider becoming a CNA. Part time and full time flexible hours are available.
Must have:
1. Passion for working with the frail and elderly in long-term care
2. Working knowledge of resident care for the frail and elderly
3. Good communication skills – writing, oral and listening.
4. Understand the need to present self at work with a good attitude
5. Good interpersonal and team-building skills.
6. Good organizational and time management skills.
7. Strong problem solving skills
