U.S. Medical Staffing is seeking a devoted and compassionate Residential Aide to work in a residential setting. The Residential Aide will work side by side with our clients while providing quality care tailored to our client’s needs.

Pay Rate: $15 per hour

Locations: Souderton, PA

About the Role:

The Residential Aide will be responsible for assisting residents and patients in a residential setting, supporting them in their daily activities and personal routines.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provides direct care to those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Performs personal care tasks, including assistance with basic personal hygiene and grooming, feeding, and ambulation, medical monitoring, and health care related tasks.
  • Fosters positive relationships between caretakers and individuals served.
  • Ensures client safety and maintaining a safe environment.
  • Reminds and assists clients with self-administration of medications (with proper training).
  • Encourages self-help activities.
  • Reports changes in client’s condition or family situation to administrators and supervisors.
  • Documents services provided.
  • Performs home management functions such as light housekeeping, laundry, bed making, and cleaning.
  • Plans meals, shopping for groceries, preparing and serving food/meals, feeding and clean-up.
  • Accompanies clients to scheduled appointments and transports clients or running errands for clients.
  • Assists with toileting, including bedpans, urinals, and commode chairs as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education, Training and Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year experience
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Valid CPR/First Aid Certification (preferred AHA or American Red Cross)
  • Current Physical no older than 6 months
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccine (including booster)
  • Proof of PPD no older than 6 months, if you have a history of positive PPD you must provide a Chest X-Ray no older than 6 months
  • Valid driver’s license (Required)
  • PA Criminal background check no later than 6 months
  • Child Abuse Clearance
  • PA Residency Statement
  • Ability to exercise confidentiality and discretion pertaining to the work environment and maintain all HIPAA requirements.
