InterCommunity, Inc is a FQHC LA (Federally Qualified Health Center Look Alike). Our health center provides same-day primary care services to every member of the community, regardless of life situation or ability to pay. We also provide a wide array of behavioral health services. Our community Health Care Centers are located at 281 Main St. East Hartford, 16 Coventry St. Hartford and 828 Sullivan Ave., South Windsor. InterCommunity’s Addiction Services offers a similarly wide range of substance use treatment and recovery-supportive services, with many sites in the Hartford area. We provide services across the spectrum of care, including primary care, residential detoxification and substance use treatment, multiple levels of residential care, outpatient substance use disorder and mental health services for adults and children, intensive outpatient programs, employment and community support, mobile crisis evaluations, judicial support services and social rehabilitation.

Summary:

A responsible individual who provides supervision of the residents in the program during assigned hours. In addition, under the direct supervision of the Program Manager or designee, he/ she coordinates and facilitates social programs for residents as well as oversees front desk functions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for supervision of residents in all daily activities.
  • Responsible for the safety of all residents through completing hourly checks and responding to all requests and emergencies.
  • Responsible for substance abuse screening with the appropriate follow-up discipline.
  • Provides unit orientation to all new clients.
  • Maintains all necessary documentation on client activity during shift.
  • Participates in in-service training, workshops and supervision
  • Responds to emergencies and incidents as they occur.
  • Must be awake and alert during shift hours.
  • May be required to transport clients in personal or Agency vehicle
  • Responsible for ordering supplies for the unit.
  • Update and maintain all unit forms, flow sheets, census updates, and work order requests.
  • Answer and directs calls as appropriate.
  • Receive and distribute unit mail.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Education &/Or Experience:

  • High School Diploma

Qualifications:

  • Good personal, interactive and motivational skills.
  • Appropriate and creative social skills to plan activities and supervise residents.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with good driving record helpful.
