Response Team Member

Bridges MN is hiring a Response Team Member! The role of the Response Team Member is to respond to crisis and provide support, problem solving, and de-escalation to individuals receiving disability services. This role provides use of a company vehicle during your shift. We are looking for someone to respond to our sites in the Lino Lakes, Oakdale and St. Paul areas.

Location: Lino Lakes, Oakdale and St. Paul areas. This is an in-person and mobile position which involves driving throughout the shift.

Schedule and Hours: 7 days on, 7 days off. 5pm-5am (12 hour shift)

FTE: Full-time

Rate: $18 / per hour.


Job Roles/Responsibilities of the Response Team Member:

  • Answer and respond appropriately to the response team phone during scheduled shifts
  • Diffuse or de-escalate challenging and crisis situations involving individuals with disabilities who receive support services
  • Professionally represent Bridges MN to police, paramedics, and hospital staff
  • Communicate pertinent or concerning events to residential supervisors in a prompt manner
  • Document and report all interactions with individuals after each shift
  • Walk through apartment properties to ensure it is a healthy and safe environment
  • Audit MARS and site compliance
  • Provide medication reminders or observations for designated individuals
  • Respond to and report accurately on incidents
  • Build rapport with individuals and staff creating a trusting and supportive dynamic

Required Skills and Experience:(Minimum requirements in terms of educations background, work experience, licenses/certifications or other knowledge, skills, and abilities):

  • High school diploma/ GED required.
  • Valid driver's license
    • No more than two minor moving violations in the past 3 years.
    • No major violations in the past 5 years.
  • Ability to pass a background check with the Department of Health and Human Services.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Compassionate about the care and well-being of others.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills; ability to communicate with varied levels of employees.
  • Preferred Qualifications: direct care experience, experience assisting others with de-escalation
