JOB SUMMARY:

This individual will be responsible for the oversight of all aspects of procurement, forecasting sales, inventory and margin for the retail division of Shryne Group. This role is responsible for the end to end planning and purchasing of various in-house and 3rd party brands across multiple channels while meeting company vision and profitability goals.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Success: Execute and manage all product projects to position Shryne Group as the market leader with a world-class customized product offering. Focusing on delivery of goods on time and in full per stakeholder requirements.

  • Manage and mentor a dynamic team of purchasing professionals in a fast paced growing industry.
  • Perform personnel functions (e.g. interviewing, evaluating, supervising, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining adequate staffing, enhancing productivity of personnel and achieving objectives within budget.
  • Responsible for employee time and attendance.
  • Promote an environment and culture that is focused on positive and healthy interactions that align with the Company’s core values.
  • Partner with the organization’s management in the evaluation and selection of vendors as well as the negotiation of purchase contracts or service level agreements.
  • Negotiate and execute with vendor, purchase order placement, item lead times, minimum orders, and all other facets related to purchasing product. Develop and negotiate corrective actions with non-performing vendors.
  • Compiles data from a wide variety of sources for the purpose of analyzing issues, ensuring compliance with a variety of policies, procedures, and goals.
  • Coordinates activities and functions for the purpose of ensuring best practices in purchasing.
  • Analyze trends, delivering upon change improvement opportunities that provide efficiency gains or financial savings with vendors.
  • Participate as an integral part of key presentations of vendor analysis, and other deliverables in support of the Senior Management team.
  • Subject matter expert providing key inputs for vendor analysis/scorecards to support corporate teams.
  • Negotiates with vendors for the purpose of ensuring purchases are within budgeted requirements.
  • Perform due diligence when requesting compliance related items from vendors assuring that risk is managed appropriately.
  • Execute purchases based on a data driven strategy in accordance with Supply Chain Key Performance Indicators (inventory turns, weeks on-hand, on-time delivery) Troubleshoot and solve retail delivery issues including inventory discrepancies, product ingestion, and vendor related queries.
  • Evaluates and develops processes to streamline the purchasing function.
  • Report to management the measurable status of progress and corrective actions as it pertains to supplier and inventory performance.
  • Ensure performance improvement and recovery plans are developed, issued, tracked and reported on as required.
  • Establishing and maintaining measurable performance metrics for all levels of purchasing activities to include but not limited to supplier performance, fill rates, on-time delivery, supplier quality, order placement, buyer activity, and financial (AP) performance including sales, inventory turns, gross margin dollars, and GMROI.
  • Perform ad hoc tasks and other requirements as directed by the Operations Team. Tasks are completed on time in accordance with the needs of the product purchasing team and any deviations are communicated promptly.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager or designee.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Knowledge in retail, inventory planning, demand planning, operations, finance, and procurement
  • Knowledge and understanding of retail math and how to influence metrics
  • Problem-solving and resourcefulness

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 4-6 years of inventory planning or procurement experience
  • Experience managing and developing team members
  • Retail experience preferred
