Retail Sales Associate Job at Roots and Ramble Boutique
Roots and Ramble Boutique is looking for an energetic individual, with an approachable and friendly manner with a genuine desire to provide outstanding customer service. We are looking for someone with top notch organizational skills, gives attention to detail, and takes initiative independently. One must be able to take direction and work to create and maintain a pleasant environment for shoppers and fellow staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Customer Service - #1 Priority - Helping and serving our customers to have a good experience.
- Superior product knowledge - introducing promotions and opportunities to customers, cross selling.
- Operating point of sale system and cash register - Managing financial transactions, balancing drawers.
- Fulfilling online orders for local pickup and/or shipping.
- Maintaining an orderly appearance throughout the sales floor. Merchandising and organizing the inventory, racks, and displays.
- Inventory Management - unboxing, prepping items for floor and website, including tagging, steaming, and photos.
- Create and post content for social media. (Taking photos and videos. Creating product descriptions and social media posts.)
- Opening and closing store.
- Store maintenance - cleaning and organizing.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift/move boxes, inventory, fixtures, etc.
***Weekends and holidays are an important part of retail and employees must be able to work the majority of weekends and holiday months. Monthly events are typically once a month on a Thursday night and are required to work.
