Position Overview
The Digitech/Retoucher is responsible for metrics related to image quality and production. They will have a heavy hand in assisting the photographer with equipment setup/breakdown, set builds, studio clean ups, file structure and naming, and on set assisstance as needed. This role will also be responsible for helping with post production retouching of both product and on-figure images, and file archiving.
The position reports directly to the Photo Studio Manager. It is a Monday-Friday, full-time position and is housed in the marketing department and photo studio of Altar’d State’s home offices.

Primary Responsibilities
- Utilize appropriate digital asset management techniques to track products between photography bays.
- Ensure imaging standards are maintained, ultimately owning the technical quality of the final output.
- Catalog, name, crop, color manage, and, when necessary, spot retouch a high volume of image assets under tight deadlines
- Consistent quality management of digital images that are within established standards, which can quickly be edited and made web-ready.
- Be able to retouch products and on the model image with a fast turnaround time.
- Ensure a high level of consistent technical quality and aesthetics for all photography created and distributed by the studio.
- Work closely with the Photo Studio Manager and photographers on all concepts and execution.
- Understand deadlines and schedules in order to help prioritize product and image organization in a high-volume environment.

- Strong digital photography, studio lighting, and file management skills
- Passion for the technical side of studio photography
- Clear communicator with great interpersonal skills
- Strong knowledge in both natural and studio lighting
- A self-starter, with a strong sense of teamwork in a fast-high-volume, deadline-driven environment
- Approaches challenges and demands with a flexible, problem-solving, and positive attitude.
