The Returns Clerk reports to the Warehouse Manager, and is located in Bellingham, MA.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Organize and manage the processes associated to Vendor & Customer Credits, Freight Claims and Replacement Invoices in a timely and efficient manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Coordination of Customer Returns to ensure the product is being returned in the timeliest and cost-effective way for all parties.
  • Collection and coordination of all supporting documentation required to properly file a freight claim.
  • Aggressively file and manage freight claims, inspections, and any associated field repairs in a timely manner.
  • Process all Vendor Returns through the Operating System
  • Communicate with Vendors regarding Return Merchandise Authorization and Credit Memos in a timely manner.
  • Work effectively with the Inventory Control / Warehouse Supervisor to ensure all returns are processed and shipped in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with Customer Service Manager so that all product returned is credited to the customer.
  • Work with Purchasing Department to process stale inventory returns to vendors.
  • Enforce the process outlined for Replacement Invoices, Freight Claims and Customer Credits in an expeditious manner.
  • Provide support within Accounting to other projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma
  • Some College course work preferred
  • 6 months experience managing high volume of competing priorities with an emphasis on timeliness and accuracy.
  • Previous experience with AS400 or similar “green-screen”, F-Key operated system preferred
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check
The range provided represents the national average pay range for this position and is considered to be a general guideline. Pay for this position will reflect the candidate’s unique qualifications and may be higher or lower than the range provided based on employee geographic location. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other local, state, and federal law.

In addition to base salary, this role will be eligible for participation in TriMark’s’ benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, 401K (with employer match), etc. Leadership positions may also qualify for participation in bonus programs commensurate with role and scope of responsibility.
