Requirements

Job Functions:

  • Implement systems and processes that ensure that all billing and related collections are accurate, timely, and well documented.
  • Oversee daily operations of billing, reimbursement, and accounts receivable.
  • Actively participate in day-to-day billing activities including but not limited to competing prior authorizations, billing, posting remittance advices, and researching and resolving billing problems.
  • Reviewing, processing, entering, and tracking room and board invoices working with long-term care facilities to ensure they are received timely and accurately.
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging and implementing billing and collection strategies as need to improve it.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual audit, cost reports, and other revenue cycle related reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation of cash flow and collections forecasts.
  • Assist in review, analysis, and implementation of appropriate revenue cycle management software.
  • Review and establish billing and collections procedures to assure adequate internal controls are in place.
  • Establish and implement revenue cycle policies and operating procedures.
  • Establish and maintain systems and staffing to effectively accomplish the department’s goals and objectives.
  • Audit and review billing policies and practices to ensure compliance with procedures, regulations, and local, state and federal reporting requirements.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate billing and collection department staff.
  • Ensure that the billing team meets all HIPPA requirements.
  • Establish and maintain revenue cycle KPIs used to measure the billing and collections department’s performance.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience as a successful revenue cycle manager.
  • 5+ years of Medicare, Indiana Medicaid, and private insurance health care reimbursement experience with a working knowledge and understanding of the hospice, home health, and/or long-term care industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or similar or 5 additional years of relevant experience.
  • Must have the leadership and oral and written communication skills needed to communicate effectively with patients, families, government entities, insurance companies, and staff throughout the organization.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient using EMR systems, Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • A positive attitude and excellent customer service skills.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $82,000.00 per year
