Revenue Cycle Specialist Job at Visiting Nurse Health System
Hours: Daytime Monday to Friday 8AM-5PM
Daily Responsibilities:
- Reviews claim audit messages and assists clinical operations with resolving these messages to facilitate claim generation and submission.
- Leverages in-house proprietary software platforms and alerts the Director of Revenue Cycle of system issues or other issues impacting productivity.
- Facilitates responses to general inquiries and data requests from both internal and external customers and works closely with reimbursement director, payors and clients to understand claim rejections.
- Facilitates responses to general inquiries to auth inquiries and delays.
- Submits monthly claim files for data analysis.
- Facilitates with vendor invoice process.
- Other duties to support Revenue Cycle Management and Finance functions as needed.
- Adheres to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations and maintains strict confidentiality.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Bachelor?s degree
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- 3+ years of healthcare, insurance, or billing/collections exp.
- Strong interpersonal skills, must be able to build relationships quickly and work as part of a team.
- Strong Written, Verbal, and Interpersonal skills.
- Excellent telephone etiquette
- Strong attention to detail/organizational skills
- Adaptable to change with strong problem solving skills
