POSITION SUMMARY:

The TEAL Revit Drafter works on a team to find innovative ways to use CAD technology to support and engage the design process. As a Revit Drafter, you will play a key role in assisting project teams with specific production and design needs as they relate to BIM. This position will draw mechanical and plumbing features and details for TEAL project buildings and utilize Revit software to create, modify, and update construction documents. Drafter will take the lead in implementing TEAL on client projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare AutoCAD and REVIT drawings utilizing TEAL template models, markups, sketches, and verbal direction.
• Coordinate TEAL design with the architect and internal design team.
• Contribute to the development of processes, procedures, templates, and model content for project delivery use.
• Contributing to research and development around existing and custom applications to support the project delivery workflows.
• Set up projects in AutoCAD and REVIT using company standards.
• Draft single-line diagrams from markups.
• Create organized and accurate drawings & manage electronic files.
• Create PDF and printed sets of drawings for review.
• Manage, edit, and create AutoCAD blocks (including dynamic blocks) and creating REVIT families.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• The successful candidate will have earned a Technical Certification.
• Strong working understanding of the traditional commercial design and construction process.
• 2-5 years in the drafting of HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial and industrial buildings preferred
• Thorough experience with Autodesk Revit, with a minimum of 2 years of experience using Revit on design and construction projects.
• The successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge of BIM 360, knowledge of Dynamo, Python, or other programming skills, and the ability to find applicable uses for these tools.
• Experience with rendering software such as Blender, 3DS Max, or Twin Motion is a plus.
• Detailed and task-oriented self-starter with excellent follow-through.
• Excellent AutoCAD skills including proficiency with model/paper space, Xrefs, layer management, line weights, importing files, block creation including dynamic blocks, exporting PDFs, batch plotting, and all other aspects necessary to complete construction documents.
• Proficiency with Revit including mechanical and plumbing systems, family creation and modification, and
• schedules.
• Accurately draft markups into AutoCAD and REVIT.
