Spur is looking for an upscale hard working HOH Key Culinary Supervisor in the Huntsville area. Rhythm on Monroe is connected to the VBC. The ideal candidate will value the experience of patrons and work well under stress in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will also have upscale service experience.

This is a from-scratch open kitchen that requires a high energy team-oriented individual. Previous experience is required for Grill, Pantry, Fry, and Prep, and some experience is needed for Steward/Dishwasher.

The restaurant is open 7 days a week mainly for dinner with some lunch events.

We are looking for a motivated HOH Key Culinary Supervisor to directly oversee the production and service of meals. HOH Key Culinary Supervisor duties will consist of providing hands-on supervision and oversight for the preparation, cooking, and portioning of meals, following company recipes. Ensuring all meals meet standards for quality. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals.

The duties and requirements for this position are:

• Fluent in all stations in the kitchen and rooftop and can assist or step in to take over each of these stations.
• Professionally direct team members in all aspects of a shift including but not limited to prep, production, food rotation, cleaning, and leaving the kitchen in a safe and orderly manner.
• Occasionally responsible for opening or closing as the culinary leader. This requires them to inspect all equipment, proper culinary storage, rotation, inspecting work, and most importantly ensure all equipment is secured and turned on or off correctly.
• Keep management informed of any equipment repairs or other items needing management's attention.
• Maintain a SAFE work environment at all times regarding activity, equipment, and chemicals.
• Must know all items on the entire menu and how each item is prepared.
• In Charge of ensuring all products are available and ready for service and informing management as soon as possible if items are not prepared or out of stock.
• Manages their time efficiently to be able to get the food out to the guests promptly. Throughout the entire shift, you are responsible for managing the time of the food in all stations including the Rooftop to ensure the food is plated when it is ready.
• Must be quick on your feet and manage your time with maximum efficiency.
• Must be able to supervise multiple tasks and production at the same time while also minimizing mistakes. Correct all mistakes promptly and make notes on how to improve in the future. Remain calm and encourage team members to provide their best effort and quality.
• Focus on minimizing waste in all areas
• Rhythm on Monroe expects employees to work their schedule as it is assigned to them weekly. Callouts must be approved by the Manager on Duty before scheduled shifts and must be accompanied by a doctor's excuse.
• You must be willing to adhere to any additional duties given by the Manager on Duty.

Qualifications:

• Must pass a background check.
• High School Diploma/GED.
• ServSafe Certified - Passed Certification - Equivalent.
• Familiar with the industry's best practices.
• Must have Basic Computer Skills - Excel - Word - Outlook-Online Food.
• Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
• Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook, or prep cook.
• Must have a minimum of 1-2 years of serving experience in a full-service restaurant. (Upscale pref.)
• Available to work day and night shifts and weekends/holidays.

Pay Rate is based on experience: $18-$22 per hour to start - Potential for Growth
