This is a full time position that is responsible for performing all aspects of mechanical maintenance and repair on drilling rigs, associated equipment and machinery by performing the following duties. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation.

This position is responsible for:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate with all other employees.
  • Must be able to travel to rig locations.
  • Must be able to participate in on-call duties twenty-four/seven (24/7).
  • Trouble shoot problems in field locations.
  • Disassemble and assemble engines, machinery and associated equipment and inspect for wear.
  • Overhaul and/or replace engine, machinery and all other associated equipment.
  • Maintain the company service truck and operate in a safe manner.
  • Prepare and submit reports, maintenance records, DOT logs, and time sheets.

Minimum requirements include:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent education with two (2) years of experience on GMC, Waukesha and Caterpillar engines, knowledge of draw works, compounds, pumps and rotary tables; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
  • Possession of a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).
  • Ability to travel.
  • Ability to provide adequate hand tools to perform maintenance while on rig locations.
  • Ability to read and understand documents such as parts and service manuals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • English language fluency, verbal and written.
  • Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check, credit check and drug/alcohol test.
