Risk and Insurance Analyst
The Risk and Insurance Analyst role will be responsible for assisting in the procurement of Comerica's insurance program to provide adequate coverage for those exposures which could impair the corporation's financial position, including such coverages as property, casualty and professional, employment practice, fiduciary, and liability. Completes and/or reviews all insurance applications for accuracy. This role will reache out to business units to get information needed to put together the package, utilizes brokers, takes package to market, helps evaluate pricing structures.

Completes and/or reviews all insurance applications for accuracy. Position Responsibilities:
- Assist in the procurement of Comerica's insurance program to provide adequate coverage for those exposures which could impair the corporation's financial position, including such coverages as property, crime, casualty and professional liability.
- Obtain underwriting information submitted on behalf of the company and determining insurable interest the company has in a claim. Process forms and claims on appropriate policies, monitor and track losses and recoveries; negotiate standard settlements according to guidelines set forth by the Risk Manager and adjust on property losses.
- Responsible for all financial transactions in Risk Management, including Comerica Assurance (Captive) international monetary transactions and budget tracking.
- Responsible for claims management of Comerica's Property Liability and REO Liability Policies, and all 3rd party claims.
- Research and review insurance policies to determine coverage, interpret insurance and contract language, review lease contracts to uphold contractual liability.
- Communicate and problem solve with senior and upper level management in multiple areas of the Corporation regarding complex insurance and potential risk issues.
Position Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university OR 5 years of experience in insurance or financial services
- 3 years of experience in insurance or financial services
- 1 year of experience utilizing Microsoft products including Word, Excel and Power Point
- 1 year of experience in project management
8:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday. This position offers a hybrid work model that includes onsite and remote days as determined by the manager.
