**Murphy Unit 3-11 only**

Our Clinical Nurse Managers are responsible for providing support to staff which includes:

• The clinical operations of the unit/department.
• Direct supervision of nursing, and other patient care providers and support staff.
• Evaluation of staffing patterns and adjusts to meet patient care needs.
• Providing direction and coordination during emergency situations.
• Acting as a resource for patient care areas when acuity and census outweigh resource availability.
• Participating in the hiring process.
• Facilitates problem solving and conflict resolution with the staff.
• Participates in the evaluation of the clinical competency of staff.
• Provides an atmosphere in which employees are encouraged to be creative and independent.
• Leadership style should demonstrate effective communication skills, organization commitment, customer orientation, team orientation, and flexibility.
• Supports and participates in appropriate professional organizations.
• Exhibiting a professional approach/demeanor.
• Utilizing a team approach whenever possible and encourages staff.
• Promoting interdepartmental/intradepartmental communication.
• Displaying superior customer relations and proactively identifies and responds to patient and family needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

• Graduate from an approved school of nursing preferred.
• Minimum BSN strongly preferred.

Experience:

• Previous management experience in an Assistant Nurse Manager or Permanent Charge Nurse capacity preferred.
• Minimum three to five years of relevant direct nursing care experience.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities.

Licensure/Certification:

• Current registration in the State of NH as a Registered Nurse.
• Certified in specialty area strongly preferred.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required. Must maintain BLS throughout employment.
