The Registered Nurse incorporates the appropriate assessment and intervention skills utilizing the nursing process in the delivery of nursing care on his/her unit for a specified group of patients on a designated shift.

• Communicates with patients, team members and management in an accurate and timely manner using written and verbal skills effectively and considerately.
• Promotes compassionate, efficient, cost-effective and quality patient care.
• Incorporates teaching principles into practice and demonstrate competence in health promotion and disease prevention.
• Demonstrates qualities consistent with the role applying leadership skills appropriately.
• Applies critical thinking skills and considers alternatives in the delivery of patient care.
• Develops and maintains human care relationships and integrates the influence of the human experience of health, illness and/or healing.
• Applies knowledge integration skills for the patient populations served within the Windham Center Department.

Floating to other departments when there is low census may be required.

• ADN or BSN required
• Current Vermont RN license
