Safety Admin Job Description
Position Summary: Assisting in the management and maintenance of required documentation to ensure compliance with building safety, occupational safety, food safety, and transportation safety.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Assist Safety Specialist on daily basis including but not limited to
· Assist with annual / daily binder updates by editing, printing, and assembling
· Document minutes from meetings
· Data entry from inspections
· Distribution of Safety messages /signage across DC campus.
· Partner with Specialist and support existing food safety programs and emerging priorities
2. Assist with Worker’s Compensation injury claims.
· Document / enter injuries into Associate Database and Ivos systems
· Assist in maintaining injury log.
· Assist in scheduling doctor appointments for injured associates.
· Document minutes from Accident Review Committee meetings
3. Assist in supporting the DC Food Safety Program
· Assist in ensuring associates receive food safety orientation training and all annual trainings
· Data entry from all inspections-daily & monthly
· Participate in facilitation of new occupational/food safety training programs.
· Participate in occupational safety forums and sponsored workshops to ensure continued compliance.
· Provide technical support to associates and management regarding food safety and occupational safety programs
4. Assist in maintaining Powered Industrial Truck training program
· Work with training team on maintaining records / spreadsheets to ensure all associates are trained on annual basis and post injuries and accidents
· Assist with implementing Ergonomic Ccommittee and document minutes of meetings
· Document minutes of Safety Ccommittee meetings
· Periodically review and monitor electronic files for compliance to annual and new hire certification and trainings for occupational safety
· Assist in managing the yearly re-certifications (jacks, forklift, bbp, etc.)
· Spot check safety / training folders for accuracy, missing forms, etc.
5. Partner with internal and external business partners at various levels of the organization
6. Other safety-related tasks as assigned

Basic Qualifications
· Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Preferred Qualifications
· 1 to 3 years’ experience managing food safety or quality assurance-related work including training and auditing
· High School Education
· Certified on powered industrial equipment where applicable
· Familiarity/experience in a distribution environment preferred
· Strong coaching, training, and motivational skills
· Ability to lead
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $27.58 per hour
