A small, independent, non-for-profit thrift shop located in Roslindale Village is in search of a part-time sales associate. The Shop is open Monday-Saturday from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm. The position for hire is for 2-3 days (16 to 24 hours per week) – which includes working on Saturdays. Availability on Saturday is very important for our operations.

The ideal candidate has experience working with furniture. This position is physically demanding and requires regularly moving large furniture items with a dolly onto the sales floor and off the sales floor, as well as into customers’ vehicles.

Other useful skills that we consider important for this position – a flexible schedule, an eye for space and design, and most importantly – retail/customer service experience. Ideally, you are fun, personable, and interested in working in a very busy non-for-profit retail environment. Besides moving furniture and donation box lots, other duties include running a cash register, assisting customers, and organizing and cleaning the retail space.

The Shop follows the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and City of Boston guidelines to ensure public safety during the coronavirus pandemic. These measures include requiring that all staff and volunteers are fully vaccinated.
