POSITION SUMMARY:

The Sales Audit Processor role at Ocean State Job Lot (“OSJL” or “Company”) is responsible for auditing and reconciling all store transactions through the use of supporting documentation and automated computer systems. This role assists in responding to inquiries from both store leadership and customers. The Sales Audit Processor role supports the Sales Audit Team with daily administrative functions and reporting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Audit refunds, voids, tax-exempt sales, and deposit slips.

  • Resolve store management inquiries.

  • Perform administrative functions including, but not limited to, filing receipts, answering the telephone, and data entry.

  • Respond to VeriFone PAYware inquiries and rectify any issues.

  • Assist internal and external customers with transaction inquiries.

  • Use the Think Loss Prevention software to reconcile store variances.

  • Process chargebacks and returned checks.

Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field is preferred.

  • 1 or more years of administrative and/or retail experience is preferred.

  • Excellent math skills.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google platform (i.e., Sites, Slides, Drive, Docs, Sheets).

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Works primarily in a climate controlled environment with minimal safety and health hazard
    potential.

  • Works in an office environment remaining stationary at a desk, table, or computer workstation for extended periods of time. Frequently uses near vision for reading and computer tasks.
