DoubleTree by Hilton Fullerton has an outstanding opportunity for a high achieving individual. We are currently seeking to hire a Sales Manager to join our team!

We are seeking a self-motivated Sales Manager who has experience in the sales process and function of a Hotel. This position is responsible for the corporate sales, groups & meetings market. Responsibilities include selling group room nights, meeting space, as well as coordinating all aspects of events with the banquet and operation teams, while providing exceptional customer service to new and repeat clients. Consistently provide a high level of exposure of the hotel in major market areas through direct sales solicitation, telephone contact, written communications and involvement in the community.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Successfully achieve or exceed quarterly individual pace/production goals based on assigned markets.
  • Solicit, negotiate and book new and repeat business through various efforts including prospecting, site tours, sales blitzes, prompt and competent follow-up on leads/referrals, use of reader board analysis, and networking in order to maximize room revenue to meet and/or exceed individual and team sales and revenue goals.
  • Develop and continually enhance relationships with key accounts, business and travel industry accounts, community organizations and professional associations to maintain high visibility and increase market share.
  • Successfully and consistently achieve minimum weekly sales activities requirements. Track all weekly sales activities including goal-to-current production status using sales systems.
  • Conduct telephone prospect calling of social catering opportunities, group accounts, leads, and those accounts which you know, and we do not and ANYTHING else you can think of to generate more Sales business
  • Conduct sales presentations to clients and ownership verbally and using the latest technology
  • Lead Follow up/ Lead generation
  • Conduct Site Inspections
  • Attend trade shows as needed
  • Travel as needed, to complete personal sales calls and presentations to customers within your discipline/ region
  • Build creative proposals
  • Negotiate and execute Contracts that are fair and profitable

Sales Accountability

  • Always Maintain a healthy pipeline that ensures achievement of established revenue targets.
  • Always Ensure all known opportunities are completely accurate and updated.
  • Ensuring sales forecasting efforts are accurate and submitted timely.
  • Learn and adopt all SOPs related to the role and any new initiatives/programs that are implemented.
  • Maintain knowledge of new product/service offerings and emerging technology supporting meetings and events.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in hotel sales, hospitality, or related field
  • Experience as a supervisor or manager
  • Familiarity with various Sales platforms
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Ability to build rapport with clients
