SAP S/4 HANA Finance Business Analyst

A vacancy has arisen for an SAP Finance S/4 HANA Business Analyst at Glanbia Business Services. This is a permanent position and will report to the Finance Systems CoE Lead.

The base location of the role will be Aurora, Illinois, with a blended working arrangement available through our Smart working model which allows you a greater choice in how you work and live, giving you a better work-life balance.

Key Elements of the Role

• Participate in relevant implementations and continuous improvement initiatives, including design, configuration, testing and implementation.
• Participate in our S/4 HANA migration programme moving from our existing ECC 6.0 environment to a best in class SAP S/4 HANA system.
• Provide SAP expert knowledge in the functional areas of Finance and Controlling to respond to business requirements, and position potential solutions (preferably in an S/4 HANA environment).
• Develop relationships with Business Power Users to drive the effectiveness of the SAP solution.
• Acquire knowledge of emerging functionality / solutions, and contribute to their successful implementation within the businesses where appropriate.
• Act as an escalation point to assist with the resolution of complex application support and maintenance issues where relevant.
• Act as a mentor to our associate team members to enable them to develop their skillsets.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant or Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance or IT

Background

• At least three year’s SAP implementation and configuration experience – must have participated in at least one full implementation in the role of SAP FICO configuration consultant.
• Experience as an SAP FICO Consultant in either SAP ECC 6.0 or on an SAP S/4 HANA.
• Experience on an SAP S/4 HANA migration project (e.g. Brownfield or Bluefield migration) is not essential but would be a distinct advantage.
• Experience in any of the following SAP S/4 modules would also be desirable; New GL, New Fixed Assets, Margin Analysis, Predictive Accounting, Financial Planning & S/4 Group Reporting (for consolidation).
• Strong cross-functional SAP knowledge (SD, MM, PP) e.g. knowledge of integration points into FI & CO.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Experience with integrating other business systems with SAP.
• Basic ABAP coding knowledge, while not essential would be an advantage.

Skills and Experience

• Experience in addressing key business issues with IT solutions.
• Ability to display a high degree of professionalism in dealing with business managers and users.
• Flexibility to undertake international travel where required.
• Strong understanding of finance business processes and accounting practices. Being a qualified accountant (e.g. CIMA, ACCA) would be advantageous.
