Position Summary


This position is responsible for determining scheduling needs and preparing and posting work schedules for over 350 employees in a 24-7 facility. Duties include preparing, maintaining and coordinating vacation calendars for staff; maintaining accurate leave accounting; coordinating staff scheduling between buildings, and answer staff questions regarding schedules.

Salary Information


The starting salary is $18.92 per hour, plus excellent benefits. The pay schedule and range is 02/10. A 12-month probationary period is required. Pay for current State of WI employees will be based on the compensation plan in effect at time of appointment.

Job Details


All applicants who may be appointed to this position will be required to allow DHS to conduct a background check to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled.


Employees are required to provide documentation of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by their start date. Exceptions will be granted to those who obtain an approved medical or religious accommodation or those who provide documentation requiring a delay in receiving the vaccine.

All appointees will be required to receive a TB test, which will be administered by Southern Wisconsin Center or medical personnel approved by the facility prior to their start date.

The shifts for this position are listed below and will be assigned based on need at the time of hire.

AM: 4:00am – 12:30pm

PM: 3:30pm – 12:00am

Qualifications


Minimally qualified applicants will have all of the following:

  • Experience utilizing computer programs (e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, etc.) for tasks such as creating, navigating and interpreting data, email, record keeping, etc.) Excel test will be required
  • Experience providing customer service to internal customers by providing information, answering questions, etc.


Well-qualified applicants will also have one or more of the following:

  • Experience with scheduling software
  • Experience interpreting and implementing policies and procedures
