School Clinician, Masters Level, for Special Ed Independent School Job at COMPASS

COMPASS is seeking a Masters level clinician who will provide individual and group therapy to students.

The COMPASS School is a therapeutic day-school serving students aged 6-21 with varying disabilities including emotional impairment, behavior disorders, and other disabilities that require special education in an individualized environment.

This position is a 10 month position with the possibility of summer school employment

Clinicians provide individual and group therapy to students in order to meet their therapeutic IEP goals. Clinicians must work collaboratively and individually to provide clinical support for students with emotional and behavioral needs. Clinicians are an integral part of the COMPASS School team. They provide therapeutic support to students.

Essential Job Functions:
1.) Have weekly clinical sessions with students based on IEP goals
2.) Provide weekly clinical groups
3.) Support the milieu in crisis situations
4.) Work collaboratively with teachers, caseworkers, other clinicians, and administration to support the needs of students and the program.
5.) Manage a caseload of 10-20 students
6.) Supervise Clinical Interns

Qualifications:
Education - MSW or equivalent (required)
License - LCSW or higher (required)
Ability to communicate effectively to parents, team members, and others professionals
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent problem solving, time management, and interpersonal skills
Excellent facilitation skills and the ability to work well within a team
Strong desire to make a quality of life difference for clients

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
