School Resource Officer (SRO) Job at Hampton County Government
Hampton County is currently seeking one full-time School Resource Officer to be assigned to Hampton County School District. Under general supervision, the SRO will enforce all local, state and federal laws relating to public safety and welfare; performs all duties in; compliance with applicable policies, procedures, laws, regulations and standards of safety; provide security for assigned school, assisting in the maintenance of order and public safety and the wellbeing of students, faculty, staff and visitors.
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent supplemented by the completion of required law enforcement coursework or possess two years of experience in Law Enforcement. Must possess Basic Law Enforcement and School Resource Officer Certifications or be able to complete Certifications within 1 year. Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
Qualified and interested persons should apply by completing an application at the Hampton County Resource Office located at 200 Jackson Avenue East, Hampton, SC 29924 or your nearest SC Works Center. Applications are also accepted at the Sheriff’s Office located at 411 Cemetery Road, Varnville, SC 29944.
