    Qualifications:

    • Full School Social Worker credentials required.
    • Must be licensed.
    • Experience with PBIS preferred.
    • Experience with problem solving process and good problem-solving skills
    • Knowledge of group facilitation for areas such as grief/loss, anger management, sadness/depression and anxiety.
    • Experience with developing behavior intervention plans, FBA and data collection.
    • Knowledge of MTSS and tiered plans.
    • Knowledge of trauma informed practices.

    Job Responsibilities:
    • Special education student caseload.
    • Ability to collaborate and work as part of a team.
    • Counseling.
    • Ability to work with students, parents, teachers and community agencies in a positive manner.
    • Demonstration of good organizational and time management skills.
    • Demonstrate knowledge of assessments involving all special education disability areas.
    • Good communication and collaboration skills.
    • Continues to acquire professional knowledge and learning of current developments in the educational field by attending seminars, workshops or professional development meetings.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
    • Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
    • Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires the substantial use of the upper extremities and back muscles.
    • Fingering: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with whole hand or arm as in handling.
    • Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.
    • Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken work; those activities where detailed or import spoken instructions must be conveyed to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
    • Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction, and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and making fine discriminations in sound.
    • Repetitive motions: Making substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
    • The worker is subject to environmental conditions.
    • The worker should provide consistent and reliable attendance.
