With nine businesses making up our family, ranging from landscape supply, construction services and stormwater management to wastewater treatment ()-our family services the entire United States with over 25 locations in 4 states, and more than 350 employees!

For over 75 years, we’ve been committed to customer satisfaction, quality and making the good earth better at our nine locations throughout Northeast Ohio. (Avon, Akron, Hudson, Garfield Heights, Independence, North Canton, Strongsville, Valley View & Willowick)
Our season starts in the Spring and runs through the Summer, and we can offer flexible schedules to all employees! Our teams have fun whether they are participating in our monthly contests or enjoying free food during our employee/customer appreciation events.
Seasonal employees are eligible for some benefits, 401k and employee discounts! (*waiting period applies).
Some positions may turn in to full time, year round positions. Come GROW with our company—we offer careers with room to expand—from Foremen to Managers, and BEYOND.

- For each season an employee returns, they are eligible for:

Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma
- Familiarity with local roadways and interstates in Cuyahoga County, Greater Cleveland and surrounding areas
- Knowledge of transportation related regulations and previous experience dispatching preferred
- Ability to learn quickly and work independently
- Ability to perform and make decisions in a high volume, fast-paced environment
- Good communication and organizational skills with particular attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills for both external and internal customers
- Familiarity with keyboard and proficiency in data entry
- Incumbent will be required to sit, stand, type, use personal computer, telephone, and two way radio on occasion
- Local travel to other KB sites may be required on an intermittent basis
Primary Responsibilities
- Work closely with department manager to understand and incorporate the priorities of the Transportation department in to day-to-day operations
- Arrange schedules for company resources and external brokers to provide the services required each day
- Seek input and feedback from other departments regarding available and required resources
- Operate the computerized dispatch and order entry systems
- Monitor deliveries and communicate with order processor to contact customers with updated delivery information
- Track incidents regarding customer service/delivery satisfaction and driver records Knowledge of dump trucks, single axle, and flatbed trucks
- Other duties as assigned
