The Seasonal Pesticide Applicator Lead will travel to client sites and apply pesticide per instructions while also occasionally training less experienced applicators. Position is expected to run from March to early October

Supervisory Responsibilities:

· On-the-job training of other applicators

· With the assistance of, and under the direction of the Site Manager, participate in coaching and/or discipline activities with other applicators

· May assist Site Manager with scheduling and route designations

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Operates various types of pesticide spraying machines

· Ensures the machinery is in working order and reports any issues to the supervisor.

· Reviews client requests to understand scope and parameters of jobs.

· Maintains inventory of supplies needed to operate pesticide machines.

· Troubleshoots issues with pesticide machine and makes basic repairs.

· Uses Body Camera as directed.

· Maintains a clean area in and around company vehicle.

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

· Ability to operate or to quickly learn to operate various pesticide sprayer machines.

· Ability to follow instructions.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Ability to work cooperatively with co-workers, customers, vendors, etc.

Education and Experience:

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· Ability to gain and maintain a state Driver’s License in good standing.

· Ability to take and pass the Certification Standards test every three year

· Vocational/technical school training preferred; on-the-job training provided.

· Previous related experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

· Physically able to operate pesticide spraying machines.

· Able to lift and carry pesticide spraying machines

· Able to bend or kneel frequently.

· Ability to stand and walk frequently.

· Must be able to lift 50 up to pounds at a time.
