Job Summary
Accord Carton is seeking a full-time Second Printing Pressman to work in our Alsip location.
This position requires you to assist the first pressman with make-ready, operate and maintain a 6 or 7 color Litho Printing Press.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Trouble shoot feeder and take corrective action when necessary.
- Trouble shoots print problems and assists 1st Pressman with corrections.
- Assist with press Make Ready; register, color, coating, etc.
- Provide support for all aspects of press run.
- Bring supplies to press when needed.
- Clean press area and complete line clearance of old materials after press run.
- Help wash up printing units and maintain a neat and orderly work area.
- Look for blanket smashes and other defects on make ready and while running.
- Assist 1st pressman complete quality sheets and maintenance checklist.
- When a supply is low tell manager.
- Run printing press as 1st pressman or feeder operator when needed.
- Perform the necessary maintenance and lubrication of the machinery.
Qualifications and Skills
Previous multi-color printing press experience as a first or second Litho Pressman.
